Polly's endless journey to raise
the awareness of breast cancer
...she said the support she has received since arriving in Australia has been incredible.  "What Americans know of Australia is the harbour bridge, the opera house and kangaroos, they don't realise there are all these small rural communities where the support network is very
strong

"Everywhere I have gone people have looked after me, it is like having mothers all over the country.  Even on the road truckies stop and give me cool drinks and everyone is very interested to know why I'm doing what I'm doing."

Walking the world to increase breast cancer awareness
Polly aims to increase awareness of breast cancer screening and self-examination, particularly among younger women.

"People think breast cancer is an older women's disease but, while the majority of women are older, people get it in their 30s, 40s and even their 20s."
